Congratulations Dana!

We had the distinct privilege of having a small part in Dana and Craig's wedding and we couldn't be more pleased. Michael and Heather Krakora captured her beautifully and you can see many of their indescribably wonderful images on their blog.

Congratulations Dana!

Front Room giving and feeling the love

Last evening's open house at Front Room was everything I expected and much more. I told Neil before I left that I will never invite him to one of my parties because they would suffer so much by comparison! The atmosphere was buzzing as the large, jovial crowd obviously enjoyed all that Front Room offered - beautiful art, delicious food well served as well as a neat "photo booth" where everyone was invited to liberate their inner rock star. They thought of everything to make their guests feel welcome, from name tags that allowed each of us to brag about how long we had been part of "Front Room Family," to clever signage that made navigating their extremely spacious studio a snap.

The funny thing is though, take away the complimentary valet parking and the wait staff and you find that it was the same warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a life-long friend that you'd find any other day at Front Room. And that truly is the magic of Front Room.

Open House at Front Room

This Friday evening our good friends at Front Room Photography are (finally:-)!) hosting an open house at their ridiculously beautiful new studio. You owe it to yourself to visit their gallery and meet the talented artists behind the amazing images. Their work is both inspired and inspiring. And I'm certain that with their experience that they know a thing or two about how to throw a great party! Think of it as a perfect date. Hope to see you there!

It's Your Dress

What sets Premiere Couture apart from other bridal salons? One clearly defining characteristic is our commitment to fulfilling each of our client's vision. The most important way that we can accomplish that is by searching out designers that are so creative and yet so confident that they relish that same challenge. Our most recent example is that of Janet Nelson Kumar. Her ability and willingness to customize her designs to suit the desires of our brides is becoming legendary. A picture is worth a thousand words so I am sharing a few of her most recent sketches created to fulfill the visions of specific Premiere Couture brides. After all, it's your dress, shouldn't you have a significant role in its creation?

Wisconsin Bride Fashion Spread

As you can imagine, we were very pleased when several months ago Wisconsin Bride again asked us to provide a bridal gown for their fashion editorial. Even more pleasing was to finally see the results of the European-inspired spread in the new fall/winter issue. We think that they definitely did justice to one of our new favorites, "Vanessa" by LeaAnn Belter. Click on the photo for an enlarged view or better yet, stop in for your free copy! For more Premiere Couture in the press, visit our website's press page, recently rescued from the moth balls!

I love fireworks!

Each year my husband Jay, along with some good friends, gets the genuinely fun but dangerous job of setting off the fireworks at Freedom Fest in Janesville. Our life-long friend, Kirk Overturf, is the man behind the dizzingly spectacular show and it has been a real privilege to watch his love for blowing things up grow from the somewhat disturbing arsenal in the trunk of his car at my wedding seventeen years ago to this hugely popular show that is attended by tens of thousands of people each year. Last night's show was particularly grand and I'm not just saying that because of my obvious bias; applause could be heard everywhere for a full ten minutes after the absolutely ridiculously fantastic grand finale.
