27 Dresses (minus one!)

That's how many incredible designs Janet Nelson Kumar has sent us for our trunk show this weekend. Her amazing collection could single-handedly end your winter wedding doldrums. Janet's design sensibility caters to those with refined taste, a demand for impeccable quality and intolerance for the boring. Fifteen different fine French laces, practically as many different necklines as there are dresses and every silhouette elegant - such is the collection of Janet Nelson Kumar and she is enthusiastic to meet you. Have you made your appointment yet?

Non-Toxic Teen Center

Non-Toxic Teen Center in Edgerton, Wisconsin, is an organization that exists to place value on teens that remarkably is celebrating it's 15th year of existence this year. In teen-center years that's well over 100! There are many things that make Non-Toxic unique besides its longevity, not the least of which is the fact that 100% of the financial support they receive is used to benefit the teens. It is completely volunteer-run; no one receives or has ever received a salary. I do not know of another non-profit organization - especially locally - that can make those same claims. To help Non-Toxic celebrate this awesome milestone, we are going to donate to them $50 for every bridal we sell through Saturday. The funds we give will be specifically designated to support programs targeted for at-risk teen-age girls. In fact, the first event that will be sponsored by Premiere Couture is Chick Flick night on Sunday, March 9. If you would like to learn more about Non-Toxic, I would be more than happy to talk to you!

Verona Area High School Prom Show

Laura and I just wanted to send a big thank you out to all of the beautiful young women who modeled our prom gowns last evening at the VAHS Prom Show and to all of the parents that worked hard to make it a successful event. We will be posting some pictures of the show in the next few days and you'll see what a marvelous job you did. Thank you!

Isabella, Kim and Janet

Our Lea Ann Belter collection is starting to fill out a bit with a new arrival - Isabella. She's obviously beautiful, light as air in silk dupioni and very figure flattering. Our bridal collection, in its entirety, has never been better.

We had the great privilege of working with a beautiful bride, Kim, last year who made the fantastic decision to have Front Room Photography capture her wedding memories photographically. They recently published an "experience" photo of Kim in their blog, and I just had to link to it because she and their work combine so beautifully. Check it out!

Update: I just heard from Neil at Front Room and he'll be dropping off a print of Kim tomorrow for us to add to our "gallery!" Awesome!!!

We are so excited about Janet's return to Wisconsin! Janet Nelson Kumar sent us this digital "postcard" for our upcoming trunk show and her sketches are so beautiful that I needed to post it here. Janet is actually going to provide a framed and signed sketch for each of our brides that choose one of her designs during next weekend's trunk show. Her sketch will be a a momento that you will treasure not only as a wedding memory but as a work of art.

Also, if you are unable to make an appointment to work with Janet on Saturday, we are considering taking appointments on Sunday. Let us know if you are interested.

Janet Nelson Kumar Personal Appearance!

Continuing our series of incredible events, Janet Nelson Kumar is scheduled to arrive from Manhattan late Friday, February 29 for her annual Wisconsin appearance Saturday, March 1! If I would have to describe what sets Janet apart from our other designers, I would have to say that her dresses are the most fashiony with a definite point of view. That being said, Janet is probably also our most flexible designer: willing to mold your ideas into her own in order to fulfill your needs and desires. Her focus is on the overall picture but she never forgets that it's the little things that can really connect you to a design.

If you are particularly finicky and have been frustrated by the lack of fashion in bridal wear, Janet's your designer. Don't miss this very short opportunity to work directly with her. E-mail us or call 608-255-1921 for your appointment.

I've attached a few of her snapshots from 2008 market plus a couple from her 2007 collection.

Vera Wang Maids Event This Weekend

Vera Wang brings a uniqueness to maids-wear that no one else does and we will be showcasing her 2008 collection this Friday and Saturday, February 22 & 23, during our Vera Wang Trunk Show. We weren't able to attend New York Bridal Market in October so this will not only be your first opportunity to see this collection in person, it will be ours as well! We're excited by the freshness that has recently made it's way into Vera Wang's collection and eagerly anticipate your enthusiastic response.

New Arrival - Next Event

We received our newest Justina McCaffrey style today - Compline. She's a beautifully draped yet controlled design that simply sings! You can see her on Justina's website, but where's the fun in that? I've posted a couple of snapshots here. As beautiful as she is on a mannequin, can you imagine how exquisite she is on an actual bride? Awe inspiring!

This weekend we're hosting our second ever Badgley Mischka Bridesmaids Trunk Show which ought to be fun. This year they are generously offering a free pair of dazzling little earrings designed exclusively for them with every gown purchased during our special event. I snapped a photo of the display, but trust me, it doesn't do these sweet earrings justice.

Have you made your appointment to visit us yet? Now's a great time!

Images of Sara Gabriel's display

Sara set everything up so perfect we figured it was a good idea to photograph it because once we start sifting through her collection for you, it will never be this organized again!

Click on either display photo for detail.

This is as much of a photo as Sara wanted us to take. We'll get more throughout the weekend.

Sara is here, the snow has stopped and all is well

Well, we're happy to be back on schedule. Sara's plane arrived in good order today and she and Laura are busy setting the stage for our event this weekend. It also appears that our email is back in working order, but anything that was mailed to us between February 1 and February 6 was basically lost in cyberspace forever.

Check back for photos from this weekend. See you soon!

Announcements: Weather, Email, Events, New Arrivals

Lots of announcements. First, because of the weather, we will probably be closed on Wednesday, February 6. This winter has been a killer!

Second, our web hosting server is suffering from technical difficulties that have resulted in our inability to receive email at info@premierecouture.com for about the last four days. If you have been trying to email us, please accept our apologies for this delay and if you like, please send your message again to 1921monroestreet@sbcglobal.net until the bugs are worked out.

Third, Sara Gabriel will be arriving Thursday afternoon from Colorado for our awesome event this weekend. There are still some appointments with Sara available so make yours now!! More details are in the post below.

Fourth, and finally, we have received several new bridal gowns that you won't want to miss. Caroline DeVillo has sent us a new classic in champagne silk shantung and the newest addition to our impressive line up of designers, Lea Ann Belter, has sent us our first two arrivals: Lois, a silk satin classic with Alencon lace trim and Vanessa, a brand new slinky - yet forgiving - silk charmeuse charmer. They're all awesomely beautiful!! (Yes, I'm a child of the '80's)

Stay warm and safe and we'll see you this weekend!!

Sara Gabriel....In Person!!

So it's Saturday evening and I am thinking back over the busy day and what a lot of fun and work it was and it just made me realize that I am really, truly excited about our next event. Hosting special events every weekend can get pretty exhausting, but next weekend is going to be such a treat that I'm already feeling energized because of it.

Sara Gabriel is going to be here February 8 and 9 to share her passion for fabulous fashion for brides in the form of exquisite headpieces, veils and jewelry. Just another designer, you think? Absolutely not. She is really incredible and I am certain that you will think so too. She's got moxy. And she has a gift for working with brides to help them realize dreams they didn't even know they had about how they want to look and, more importantly, feel on their wedding day. If you haven't made an appointment to complete your bridal ensemble with Sarah's personal attention, do it before there aren't any more openings. She wants to see you in your gown if possible (even if you didn't purchase it at Premiere Couture) so she can really put forth her best effort on your behalf - so bring it along! She will make you Love Your Veil.
