Fall Fashion Trends

Wondering what to pick up for this fall to be right on trend?  Don't worry, we have the top trends to keep you in style and on budget.

Winter White - Don't wear white after Labor Day?  That rule does not apply this year.

Embroidery - Whether deco, floral or abstract an embroidered detail makes a simple dress fabulous.

Stripes - Bold stripes are trending this season and the playful angles on this wrap dress show off everyone's figure.
Sparkle - Sparkle has gone sophisticated with embellished skirts and beaded belts.

Pleather - Each fall designers find a new way to utilize leather and this year it's in the details and it's pleather.  Buttery soft, pleather looks like leather with none of the guilt involved.

Green - Pick your shade, hunter or emerald, but be sure to pick up something green this season.

Royal Blue - Blue continues to be a favorite this fall and we like ours with a bit of sparkle and edge.

Capes - Winter calls for a cover up and the right cape can give you warmth and keep you looking fashionable.

Sleeves - This is a trend that hasn't been around for a while and it seems that everyone has embraced it.

Pleated skirts - A little volume goes a long way and remember this means no Spanx needed.

Lace - Lace is truly lovely and lady like.  Pair it with boots for an edgy look or pumps if you are in a classic mood.

Special memory of your day:  We were able to share our day with our 21 month old son, it was so wonderful (and exhausting) to see the whole day through his eyes.

Any advise to those getting married:   Just don't blink  It was over before we knew it, but worth every moment.

Beth & Scott

Ceremony:  St Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus
Bridal Gown:  Alyssa by Lea-Ann Belter from Premiere Couture

Special memory of the day:   I will never forget looking round the room at the reception and realizing that everyone we love was there to celebrate with us.  There will not be another time in our life where all our loved ones are in one room and that was an amazing and overwhelming feeling.

Advice for those getting married:  My advice to the newly engaged would be to keep your relationship first, especially when planning starts to feel stressful!  Also, when it come to wedding dresses, be open minded!  I had my dream dress picked out and was so excited to try it on - however once it was on I did not want to come out and show my mom and my friend.  It was not for my body type at all!  I had an "anti-strapless" dress attitude and was hesitant to try on the dress I bought but it ended up being perfect.

Emily & Dan

Ceremony and reception venue:  The Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI on Lake Geneva
Florist:  Gooseberries in Burlington, WI.
Photographer was Lisa Fohey and Jared Hamilton from Thrive Photo and Design

The best moment was when we decided to dance down the aisle! It was completely unplanned and spontaneous! It was so fun and very "us". We recessed to "I Do" from Colbie Caillat.

Emily's advice to those getting married:  My advice is to relax. Our ceremony was going to be outside by the lake. It rained all morning. I'm not talking just rain but complete downpour. I wasn't sure we are going to make it outside but it cleared up for later in the afternoon. I knew there was nothing I could do to change the weather so I just accepted the fact that we might be inside. So it was a pleasant surprise when we are able to do the ceremony outside! Don't stress over what you can't control was my motto.
