Closed Due To Cold Weather

Because Laura and I are moms, school closings and adverse weather conditions inevitably effect our ability to get to Madison to open the store. Today is one of those days that we aren't able to get there. Hope you took advantage of our special offer!

New Vera Wang Arrivals

We've just received several fabulous new designs from Vera Wang Maids and we can't wait to get your reaction to them! I'll post some pictures Wednesday to give you a little taste of the fashion that awaits you.

Vera Wang Maids in combination with Badgley Mischka and Lynn Lugo makes our bridesmaid collection the most undeniably fashionable choice in Madison. Your bridesmaids won't be disappointed!

Spotlight on Justina McCaffrey

We will be featuring the best designs from the "Angelic Paradisium" collection as well as key pieces from her classics. You'll have the best selection of her designs to be found anywhere to try on plus we'll offer 10% off all of her gowns. We look forward to seeing you!

Caroline DeVillo Personal Appearance

We're very excited about our next event, which by the way we have a new one nearly every weekend for the next few months. Caroline DeVillo is going to be joining us for a trunk show for her new collection on Friday and Saturday, January 25 and 26.

Our brides who have worked directly with any of our designers have always truly appreciated the specialness of the opportunity. Out of all of the brides and all of the gowns of all time, how many can truly say that they have worked one-on-one with the very person responsible for the creation of the most important garment they will ever wear? It is awesome!

We have one of Caroline's newest designs here already as it just arrived this past week. Meet "Abigail." She's a softly ruched silk shantung gown shown here on one of our lovely customers, Rachel, who was very generous in allowing us to photograph her for our blog. Thanks Rachel!

Spotlight on Amy Kuschel

We have an awesome event going on this weekend: Spotlight on Amy Kuschel.

Amy Kuschel sent us a handful of her best designs so that we can offer to you a better-than-ever selection. Plus when you order, Amy will send us a signed sketch of your gown for you to include in your scrapbook. And don't forget all Amy Kuschel designs are 10% off this weekend!

Here are a few of the designs that will be here for the weekend only. You may click on any of them for a larger view. (And you may notice the new Badgley Mischka bridesmaid dress next to Hepburn.)

Bridal Show 2008 Recap

What a busy, fantastic weekend! Laura and I had the opportunity to meet so many amazing women at the Wedding Planner & Guide Bridal Show. I am confident that Premiere Couture brings something different to Madison's bridal landscape and we were happy to meet the brides who were looking for that difference. We received a lot of positive feedback on the designs in our booth and on the runway, but I think my favorite comment was made to Laura, it went something like this: "I'm a strange bride because I'm not really very excited about wedding dress shopping, but your store is the one store that I can get excited about shopping at." What an awesome compliment!

Another pleasure that we have during the show is getting a chance to rub elbows with other wedding professionals. It's a once or twice a year thing that we enjoy. We always look forward to chatting with our very favorite photographers from Front Room! You all need to stop by our store and see the absolutely beautiful photo art book they gave us featuring one of our brides and models, Erin, in a "trash the dress" (Front Room prefers to call it "Art of The Dress" and we concur) photo session that they shot at dawn in September in Lake Michigan. Some of the photos already occupy coveted space in our "gallery" but the book is a wonderful way to enjoy even more of their artistry.

We also loved chatting with our neighbors, Coliseum Bar. It's nice to have such friendly people next to you at show since we're standing in each other's company for thirteen hours! Other standouts were the gals at the Kalahari Resort, Beauty Blossoms, Bellezza Studio and Captured Moments as well as Paul Toepfer and his wife. We hope they all had a successful show!
Photos aren't allowed during the show so I snapped these during set up. The designers represented are as follows (from left to right): Caroline DeVillo, Badgley Mischka, Justina McCaffrey, Vera Wang, Amy Kuschel, Lynn Lugo, Janet Nelson Kumar, Badgley Mischka and LeaAnn Belter. Luke was along for the whole weekend with his Aunt Toni on baby patrol. Thank you Toni!!!!
A little different angle so you can better see the new Badgley Mishka bridesmaid dress that got so much attention this weekend. To view a larger image, just click on either photo.

Special Touches and Glitter That Shines

We just received some beautiful new accessories from Caroline DeVillo. When I took the creamy ivory satin sash with the Alencon lace applique and the delicate silk tulle shrug out I just knew they would give "Jane" a whole new twist. I don't think this is exactly the combination that Caroline had in mind when she designed either of these smart accessories, but I love it! In fact, you'll see it go down the runway if you attend the bridal show this weekend.

Then this glittery little number from Alyce shows up on Thursday and dazzles us all. We found the texture of the little silver sequins irresistible on their perfectly pale blue background. Doesn't it just cry out to go to the Frosty Ball?

New Styles by Janet Nelson Kumar

Janet has loaned a couple of brand new designs to us so that we can "field test" them here in Madison. Laura snapped some photos as I am out with a whopper of a cold so that we can all take a look. As with all of Janet's designs, these gowns include her amazing custom cut-to-measure fit, they're all silk and made in the US - New York to be exact.
