Amber - Beautiful and Timeless

Amber is a fascinating, energetic and decisive women who, though she knew just what she was looking for before ever stepping foot into my store, was gracious enough to let me believe that I had a small part in putting together such a classic, tasteful and timeless look for her wedding day.

Molly, of MThree Studio, did a marvelous job of capturing Amber's day and then chronicling Amber and Araya's story on her blog .

We offer our sincerest congratulations to you, Amber and Araya!

It's so refreshing when someone really gets us...

We received the nicest e-mail last night and I have decided to share it will you.

I picked up my veil today and it is so beautiful! I really love that your veils are made in America. That fact was what made me choose to buy my veil at Premier Couture. I'm very happy that you are supporting businesses that make their products in America, ensuring that people are treated well and paid a living wage. Keep up the good work and have very happy holidays!

Thanks!
Bridgette

Thank you, Bridgette!

Did I mention that Caroline DeVillo is here?

We are so fortunate to get Caroline a couple of days out of her busy schedule as she just launched three new collections! She has her amazing new designs here and we would love to know what you think of them. I have posted a couple of snapshots of one of my personal favorites, but do yourself a favor and come in to see them all for yourself!
"Bobbi" has a wonderfully flattering shape in buttery soft silk satin.

But it's the back of "Bobbi" that truly speaks to me - two columns of miniature buttons set beneath the tuxedo shirt trim along the top - fantastic!

It's that time of year - Holiday Party Dresses

Fun new arrivals to add to our spectacular collection of party dresses - so adorable, so affordable! Our collection ranges in price from just $75 to $167! You'll love them!

From Madison to Fiji

We received the nicest thank you note and snapshots from Karen and Chuck who were recently married in Fiji. She was beautiful and they both look so sincerely pleased. Again, we marvel at the amazing privilege we are granted when someone such as Karen chooses Premiere Couture.

Thank you and congratulations Karen!

Caroline DeVillo is to visit!

We were unable to view Caroline DeVillo's newest collections in New York earlier this month so she is doing us the great favor of bringing them to us! Would you like to see them as we do? Caroline, along with her lovely new creations, will be visiting us next weekend, November 7 and 8. You may make an appointment to not only see the freshly unveiled designs, but to work directly with Caroline as you try them on.
Caroline's "Abigail" looks spectacular on America's Next Top Model contestant, Heather, in this unique photo Laura found at the New York Post's blog.

We congratulate Kate and Kate

Thanks to Molly Michel of Mthree Studio, we can share with you some gorgeous photos of two brides that we were fortunate enough to work with earlier this year, Kate D. in her beautiful and sophisticated bridal gown and Kate B. in her gorgeous Christina Garcia hair art. Mthree Studio is new to us and this is our preferred method to be introduced to new photographers - through the wonderful experiences of our brides. Thank you Molly, and congratulations Kate D. and Kate B.!

ECO-CHICC Handbags and totally chic dresses

We finally received our ECO-CHICC (Ecologically Conscious Organization Celebrating Honoring Inspiring Creative Communities) handbags and they're just as great as I remember them. The 100% recycled aluminum can tabs are woven together to create a counter-intuitively soft feel. They are made by disenfranchised women in South America; by purchasing this fashionable and fun bag you have created opportunity for women where there wasn't any before.

As the perfect backdrop to our new bags, a couple of highly anticipated designs finally made it into our ready-to-wear collection of party dresses. The fabulous fuchsia and black dress has a sophisticated sister in silver and mocha. And no, your eyes do not deceive you, those are sleeves on that great little black dress! It's easy to wear (I can speak from personal experience here as I have one of them for myself) and the fun little circle and square payettes scattered throughout give it a dash of whimsy and sparkle.

Thank you, Kristen!

We had a drawing during our Art of Weddings event and each of the following visitors won a gift certificate worth $100:

Renee Thomas

Audi Aslin

Another artistic success...

The evening is winding down (and I'm totally updating the blog to give my feet a break!) and I am pleased with its success. Laura is the lifeblood of each of our events as her skillful planning and organization ensures a well-put-together evening. Janet's dresses were gorgeous, of course, the models were stunning and Rejuvenation Spa captured the exact old Hollywood look we love. Donna Sager of Garden Laurels went well beyond expectation with exquisitely lush floral arrangements to which my photos will never do justice. Creative Confection's Alicia Russel wowed us again with yummy delicious cake and Flemings Steakhouse delivered on their promise of a magic evening out. David Flood's smooth guitar music set the perfect mood.Thank you to everyone that participated and made the evening one to remember!

The Art of Weddings

We vow to engage each of your senses in order to inspire you.

You are invited to attend our second annual celebration of the creativity and splendor of today's weddings. "The Art of Weddings" event is concurrent with MMoCA's Gallery Night.

Our casual evening affair, Friday, October 3, from 5pm until 8pm, will offer you the opportunity to meet two of the finest artists in their respective fields - Janet Nelson Kumar, bridal fashion designer, and Neil Kiekhofer, one of Front Room Photography's founders. (Due to a scheduling conflict, Neil will be unable to join us. You will be missed Neil!)

In addition to fine fashion and images, you will also be treated to the artistry of Rejuvenation Spa as they will complete the look of each of our live models with make-up and hair styles inspired by old Hollywood glamour. Speaking of live models, meet Erin Nycz, once our customer, now our friend and a favorite model who appears in many of our photos, including this one.

The mood of Premiere Couture will be enhanced and the models will be adorned with floral delights from Garden Laurels by Sager. But not just a feast for the eyes, the evening will also offer delicious cake from Creative Confections and hors d'oeuvres from Flemings Steakhouse to tantalize your taste buds and the smooth, enchanting sounds of musician David Flood, for the pleasure of your ears.

As if all of that were not enough, the event will also offer free gifts to the first 25 brides of 2009 and a chance for anyone who attends to win one of five $100 gift certificates!

So come this Friday evening to an event to remember, "The Art of Weddings."

Will your marriage be Fireproof?

It's been on my mind for quite some time that I would like to find a way for Premiere Couture to do more than just promote beautiful, memorable weddings but to also promote beautiful, lasting marriages. After all, that is the ultimate goal of every single one of my brides. While it would hopefully be obvious to anyone who meets Laura and me that marriage is very important to each of us, having the privilege of dressing a bride and her party for her wedding is a limited way to convey our true passion for strong marriages.

But I think I stumbled upon the first of hopefully many creative ideas to encourage you to make your wedding merely the beginning of a much longer, more fulfilling, more meaningful journey that is your marriage. Last night my husband and I went on a date to see the opening of the new movie Fireproof. It is an unapologetically Christian view of marriage that conveys a great deal of insight into what it takes to make it last through the worse of "for better or worse." After watching it we left feeling both thoughtful and thankful for knowing that we both understand what real love is. So far we have only been married seventeen great years and we have certainly seen hard times and I'm certain there will be more, but I am increasingly confident that we know the secret of genuine success. I think you might, too, after watching this movie.

Go see Fireproof yourself, bring your ticket stubs in and we'll give you a $50 gift certificate that can be used towards anything in the store, anytime and with very little restriction. Don't want to see the movie but maybe just poke at the ideas behind it? Visit FireproofMyMarriage.com.

Congratulations Calfa!

Laura and I were so pleased to have the privilege of dressing one of our very favorite photographers for her recent wedding. Calfa, you looked magnificent! Thank you for the honor you gave to us! Because of her honored status, there is an extensive collection of images from her wedding in Front Room's blog. You can tell that they think of Calfa as a treasured member of the Front Room family and no doubt she is.

Congratulations Calfa!
