LeaAnn Belter

To round out the LeaAnn Belter portion of our 2010 bridal collection we offer you Zoe, Maya and Danielle. I always want to wax poetic about our exquisitely beautiful LeaAnns because I find them so inspiring, but to truly appreciate what makes them stand apart you need to see them for yourself. They're light as air, fit supremely well and are incredibly versatile and changeable. We love LeaAnn's uncompromising approach to design - never skimping but always using the finest laces and rich silks all throughout the gown and always paying close attention to details like exquisite hand beading with Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and cut beads. You see? I just can't help myself.

Class projects

As Laura continues to pour her incredible depths of bridal knowledge and wisdom into our new employees, she had them create a "story" of their choosing with our bridal collection. We so liked what they came up with that we thought we'd share!

First, Meghan (at 4:58, 5:01, most beautifully at 8:24 and again at 12:16 in Captured Moment's slideshow), having been a very sophisticated bride herself chose a trio of dresses for the "anything but strapless" bride. There are actually a plethora of such choices here at Premiere but I liked the diversity that Meghan's choices represented. Flirty, airy romance from LeaAnn Belter; clever, sophisticated and surprisingly forgiving charmeuse - also from LeaAnn Belter, or straight up glamour and elegance from Janet Nelson Kumar.
Julia, our new "model" employee, being the consummate college student decided to look into the fashion available at Premiere for a the "my taste exceeds my budget" bride and again the choices are impressive. You'll recognize our newest arrival from Claudine for Alyce, Anjali, that comes in at an exceptional $375, the saucy Nicole Miller plunging v-neck at $590 and our newest and flirtiest Robert Bullock that comes in at just $650. And there's more here and more to come!

Since we love these "stories" we're going to consider this post to be continued....

New LeaAnn Belter, Alyce Bridal and more...

New Arrivals with Strapless Sweetheart Necklines

You may notice that our newest arrivals share a few key characteristics - they are all light as air, have flattering strapless sweetheart necklines, emphasize a narrow midriff and have full or flowing skirts.

LeaAnn Belter's Jemma is truly a gem with rich embellished Alencon lace on the empire bodice set atop an extremely flattering ruched midriff and a full but ever-so-light box pleated silk dupioni skirt.

LeaAnn's Alina will be visiting us just for a while but she'll be beautiful while she's here with her fashionable babydoll cut and ethereal layers of tulle.

Janet Nelson Kumar's Camelia, also on furlough here at Premiere Couture, is fresh and flattering with a ribbon and hand-beaded applique accenting the curve of the empire bodice. The impossibly full skirt is achieved without pleats or gathers and thus remains incredibly flattering from hip to toe.

Anjali by Claudine for Alyce Bridal is sweet, informal gown in chiffon with a ruched bodice and flowing skirt. The flower pin at the empire waist is yours for the choosing - take it or leave it or maybe put it in your hair. And you won't believe this - she's only $375!

The selection within in our bridal collection is increasingly amazing and need to get in here and try them for yourself!

Simply Sensational

We have just received two of the coolest party/special occasion dresses I have ever seen. The geometrical banding that encompasses each of these flattering below-the-knee dresses do all the right things to your curves. These swank designs will feel comfortable anywhere and turn heads everywhere. And like the rest of our ready to wear collection, we offer our designs in very small quantities so that you know that a dozen other smart women will not show up dressed just like you at your next event!

Sleepless in Seattle

As many of you already know, February being being the month of Valentine's Day it is also Sleepless in Seattle month. How could we resist? It's time for some romance This iconic chick flick definitely stands the test of time - Tom Hanks is still funny and heart-rending and Meg Ryan is still charming. And as Laura mentioned on Facebook, it has an amazing soundtrack that made us fall in love with Harry Connick, Jr.

We had some fun with our gift with purchase this month as each of brides receive their own copies of An Affair to Remember and The Dirty Dozen. Don't know why this would be our gift? You definitely need to watch the movie again!

Adele Wechsler Trunk Show

We have the unique opportunity to offer to you the chance to get to know the designs of Adele Wechsler, a designer not typically available in our salon, during a trunk show next weekend. Her designs are original, simple but interesting, and she has a special emphasis on ecologically friendly designs that incorporate certified organic hemp/silk, vegetable dyed silks and fair trade

Laura snapped a few photos of some of the gowns that have already arrived while Julia was in yesterday. We're only showing fronts here, obviously, but Adele has an affinity for unique ornamentation which is often highlighted on some seriously fantastic backs - but you'll have to come in and check that out for yourself!

Lace and organza - a study in texture and design

New arrivals from Robert Bullock and Lea Ann Belter allow us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the breadth of our price range (the gowns here range from $650 to $3685) and the ability of our designers to create beautiful texture and amazing interest with well chosen lace and organza.

On the left, Robert Bullock uses purposely placed layers of folded organza, lace and tulle to create the most flirty and whimsical short little bridal gown that we've ever seen. The center gown, also by Robert Bullock, uses cut and angled layers of organza, lace and tulle to create an infinitely flattering and sophisticated silhouette. And we're totally in love with the way that he decided to layer the organza over the lace of the skirt to produce incredibly soft texture. On the right, Tess by Lea Ann Belter is exquisite French Alencon lace over silk satin that hugs your curves while the small of your waist is accentuated with a narrow silk satin belt and the lace drips over the dreamy silk organza hem - it's like butter! The frosting on Tess's cake is Lea Ann's cut-to-measure fit that truly expresses her flawless craftsmanship.

Sophisticated sashes add shine and sizzle

We received three beautiful additions to our already extensive collection of custom sashes meant to enhance and personalize your bridal gown. Lea Ann Belter has applied her amazing design skills to this stunning trio of silk, ribbon and beaded lace belts. You can see that each of the belts completely changes the personality of Nancy, one of our favorite Caroline DeVillo designs. (Yes, you can absolutely mix and match your designers! In fact, Caroline herself offers an amazing collection of cleverly designed sashes!) Let us show you how sashes and belts can add a personal touch to your ensemble, effectively add just the right amount of shine or sparkle and do it all in an enormously flattering manner.

Thank you and bridal show recap

Laura and I truly enjoyed meeting friends old and new at the Wedding Planner & Guide Bridal Expo this past weekend. We appreciate all of the positive feedback on our runway fashions and those shown in our booth! "Vanessa" by Lea Ann Belter, "Melanie" by Lynn Lugo, "Fiore" by Janet Nelson Kumar and one of our spectacular metal taffeta designs from Nicole Miller were all particularly well received so I thought I would post some photos to help you remember what you saw and what you liked.
