Story from your day:   "We were afraid of rain, so I got all of my Ladies purple frilly umbrellas & a white one for myself.  They turned into an accessory rather than a necessity.  Mother Nature gave us a gorgeous day."

Advice for those getting married:   "My only advice is to keep it personal.  Chad and I got engaged on my parent's farm and that is where we got married and maybe even hope to live someday.  We celebrated with close friends and family, a pig roast and a bonfire, which was perfect for us.  Do what is right for you."

Trendy Tuxes

Grooms today want to have options just like brides.  Tuxes are now available in shades of grey, tan and brown as well as black and white.  Tuxes can have no buttons or they can have 6.  Shirts come in white, ivory and black and with and without pleats.  Coats can be a slim fit or in an athletic cut.

It's a hopping time for tuxedos!

It's been a busy season for tuxedos here at Premiere Couture! We sent out lots of great looking men this weekend, had a fun visit from Jim DuBois of DuBois Formalwear and had some super fun guys in shopping for an upcoming wedding. We love tuxedos!

This is Mark. He obviously has the same lively, inner spark of fun that his sister Meryl, our lovely bride, has. I was just framing up a photo of our new vest panel display while Mark and his nephews were working with Joel on tuxedos when he turned around and gave me this great smile. I had to snap it!

A new face at Premiere....sort of

Meet Joel. He's our new Tuxedo Facilitator! Under the tutelage of Jim DuBois and our own formalwear maven, Laura, he's currently learning everything he needs to know to make your wedding day run smoothly and look wedding album worthy! And while he's technically a new employee, he was truly created for the position as he is my (Rosemary) son! He has literally spent his entire life around weddings - starting in a baby seat right by my side at work way back in the beginning days of Premiere Couture. Now he's ready to make his mark on the masculine side of the business by ensuring that every detail of our tuxedo weddings are attended to and looked after. If you've already booked your wedding with DuBois and Premiere Couture you'll be hearing from him soon. And if you haven't, you're going to want to come in and meet him and get things for your own wedding rolling now!

Prom 2010

Well, just about all of the area's proms have come and gone and we're a little sad to see the season end. But on the bright side, now we get more photos!! Here are a few. Yay!

- This is my (Rosemary) son Jayson with his friend Sarah. I can't believe I've been in this business long enough to have my son be one of our prom customers!

One more thing: if you're a savvy shopper, you may want to check out our remaining gowns - all of which are awesome - for next year's prom. You'll save hundreds of dollars and have the certainty that no one else will have the exact same gown!

Amanda and Zane....again

Generally I don't blog about a bride and groom more than once, but then again, I don't generally get to blog about a bride and groom that happen to be family. My first post had a couple of my own images posted, but finally I can share with you images from Front Room Photography's Neil who did an amazing job at capturing the essence of everyone he photographed. So forgive me if I overindulged a bit in the number of images I've shared with you here, but come on, he's my nephew! Congratulations again Amanda and Zane!

Amanda and Zane

Contrary to popular belief, Laura and I do not get the opportunity to attend many weddings so it is a genuine treat when we get to, especially when it's a beloved nephew as the groom. So it was this past Saturday that I found myself at the Platteville Country Club witnessing the ceremony of my nephew Zane to my now official niece-in-law Amanda. The day was beautiful as were the bride and groom. And because they chose Front Room Photography to capture their day, I felt absolutely no pressure to take any photos. I did manage a couple for the purposes of sharing them here and my Facebook page. Congratulations Amanda and Zane and thank you for letting me and Premiere Couture be a part of your day.
