A new face at Premiere....sort of

Meet Joel. He's our new Tuxedo Facilitator! Under the tutelage of Jim DuBois and our own formalwear maven, Laura, he's currently learning everything he needs to know to make your wedding day run smoothly and look wedding album worthy! And while he's technically a new employee, he was truly created for the position as he is my (Rosemary) son! He has literally spent his entire life around weddings - starting in a baby seat right by my side at work way back in the beginning days of Premiere Couture. Now he's ready to make his mark on the masculine side of the business by ensuring that every detail of our tuxedo weddings are attended to and looked after. If you've already booked your wedding with DuBois and Premiere Couture you'll be hearing from him soon. And if you haven't, you're going to want to come in and meet him and get things for your own wedding rolling now!

More techno metal and taffeta...sweet!

And the fabulous new designs continue to roll in! Today we received this fantastic navy techno metal dress by Nicole Miller and a tasteful, fun olive taffeta and gold lace little number (that I happen to know totally caught Julia's fancy) by Suzi Chin. Either would feel right at home at your upcoming party, banquet or charity function and both are a perfect alternative to the little black dress!

Love at first sight

We are so thrilled to finally possess Janet Nelson Kumar's "Amber" from her Belle Fille collection! A version of one of our all-time-favorite designs, "Ambrosia", "Amber" is elegance personified in fine Italian re-embroidered lace and silk satin. The cap sleeves offer a delightful alternative to strapless necklines and the fit is impeccable! We love you, "Amber"!

New York brought new bridal designs - like right now!

Never have we so immediately received new designs that we ordered at New York market. We generally have to wait months. Not this year! We've received new designs from each of our designers with the exception of Janet Nelson Kumar and we expect our first one from her next week!

November: Football + Thanksgiving = The Blind Side

The leaves have fallen, there's a crisp chill in the air. Who can think of November without thinking about Thanksgiving and football? Laura and I have had the hardest time in the past coming up with a movie that we love that celebrates Thanksgiving, one of our favorite holidays, but fortunately with The Blind Side, our problem is solved! If you've seen this movie I'm sure that you also found this story of family, love and generosity truly inspiring.

Our gift to you this month with a dress purchase is a beautiful scarf that will help keep you warm whether you are at the big game or on your way over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house for Thanksgiving dinner.

Fantastic new gala gowns and party dresses from Nicole Miller

We have become huge fans of Nicole Miller's metal taffeta bridal designs and her signature side tucks in silk crepe du chien that we have now added her coordinating special occasion gowns as well. And as Laura instantly observed, they are hot!! The colors are rich, the fit is amazing and your look will be unforgettable if you choose one for your next special event.

Lynn Lugo demo video

We asked Lynn how to make the rosettes she shows on her dresses and she made this handy little video for us. When we were in New York she and her husband Pete told us about the making of this video and said that it took more than ten tries because of all of the ridiculousness going on around them and the giggles that inevitably ensued. We appreciate their persistence!

New York, new bridal, new party, new new new!!!

So much has been going on at Premiere Couture; time to play catch up! Now if you follow us on Facebook, most of this will be a review but with some additional details. First, Laura and I enjoyed a very successful, exhausting New York International Bridal Week last week. It is always so fantastic to reconnect with our designers and they certainly all wowed us with their newest creations. After reviewing each of their collections, Laura and I remain convinced that Premiere Couture represents the perfect mix of designers and we are excited to continue to feature the designs of Lea-Ann Belter, Janet Nelson Kumar, Caroline DeVillo, Robert Bullock, Nicole Miller, Lynn Lugo, Sara Gabriel and Christina Garcia. We've added just one new designer to the mix as Robert Bullock's design partner, Steven Birnbaum, has launched a bridesmaid collection that we will carry as soon as it hits stores. Along with new bridesmaids, we will also be offering a new line of shoes - Foot Petals -the company famous for foot solutions for killer shoes. Their new shoes feature all of their most popular cushions built right into the shoe - perfect! Of course we are also offering their most popular cushions - in fact, they've already arrived at the store and await your sore feet!

While we were in New York and new bridal design arrived from Robert Bullock. It is a soft, luxurious lace gown that is so flattering and so comfortable you won't want to take it off once you put it on.

We've received new party dresses from two more new designers to Premiere Couture, Suzi Chin and Eva Franco, plus a couple of great new dresses from Donna Morgan who is already very comfortably ensconced in our store.
